Tangerang, February 6, 2025 – Censtacom, a performing arts community dedicated to
fostering musical theater in Indonesia, is bringing another Broadway-licensed production to
the stage. This year, Censtacom proudly presents Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy,
which will be performed at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, from March 14 to
15, .2025. With a total audience capacity of 5,484 seats over four days, this production
promises an entertaining experience, with ticket prices starting at Rp 200,000, available
through Tiptip.
Sister Act Musical is a stage adaptation of the popular 1992 comedy musical film starring
Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith. The story follows Deloris Van Cartier, a lounge singer
who is forced to hide in a convent after witnessing a crime. Using her passion and musical
talent, she transforms the convent choir, bringing new energy and harmony to the
community. This musical delivers refreshing comedy, a heartwarming storyline, and a diverse
soundtrack ranging from gospel to pop, making it an engaging and uplifting theatrical
experience.
The cast who will play in this musical are no less cool, starting from the actor Deloris van
Carter who will be played by Moneva, Eddie by Dante Kidd, Mother by Tante Ria, and Curtis
by Rayhan and other casts who will play. And our music director is wishnu dewanta / WDO.
As part of the lead-up to the main production, Censtacom held a press conference on
February 6, 2025, attended by representatives from media partners and theater
communities. The event featured exclusive performances of two songs by the lead cast, a
talk show with the director, producer, and cast members, a Q&A session with the media and
community, and the official trailer and poster reveal of Sister Act Musical.
